The series of vases "Parasite" by designer Nonna Lorenz is a modern interpretation of the traditional cobalt pattern Cibulák, which has symbolized Czech porcelain for many years. In the "Parasite" series, however, it is a modern interpretation of these traditions. Porcelain caterpillars are not only a decorative element but also refer to a new generation of ceramics that is growing on the foundations of Cibulák. The author raises the question, who then is the parasite? Is it the new generation of artists who parasitize on the glorious past of porcelain factories, or is it the Cibulák itself, which has "grown" on every porcelain product in the Czech Republic?
